I am looking at purchasing my first tortoise for my 40th birthday to me!

I have wanted one for quite some while and I thought what better time than now.

I'm a complete beginner and I'm after some advice as to where to purchase one and how to build a home.

Not been here long myself, but welcome.  It's all new to me too but the links on the left are very useful.  There is one about getting ready for your new tortoise and everything you need. Have a read, it's very interesting.  I built my own tortoise table out of some old bedroom furniture that was going to the tip, so mega cheap and recycling is the way to go.  Have some fun and get creative.  Let us know how you get on.
