Hello again, My Mum thinks that the uv ligh in esio trots home in my bedroom might be affecting my health is this possible and what do most people do. Please remember esio is only 10 weeks old that is why he's inside. Thanks

Hi, I cant see that this is a problem unless you are basking under it with the tortoise! I keep my babies indoors and have had some living in my bedroom before but it has never caused me a problem. Are you turning the light out at night? Ali

Hi Ali, In the pictures i sent you there should be one with the enclosure. At night turn the basking light with uv off but not the linear uv bulb. The breeder said to keep it on or else they'll die but I think it only brings the temperature up by a degree. Thanks

Hi, The breeder is wrong they do not need any form of uv at night. I turn all mine off, if you have them in your bedroom the heat from that should be enough to stop the temps dropping too low. Ali
