Hi there. I am personally delighted to see forthcoming lower temperatures...it will maintain hibernation for my mature tortoises. However, I am keen to know the temperature range in your set up, when house is at its coldest. Without this info we cannot really offer advice. Please reply with as much info as possible, then someone can offer appropriate advice. I look forward to next posting. Glad to know you are thinking so much about torty welfare! David nr York

Hi, our house is typical keeps heat in and cold out lol Due to fact that my dad and cold weather dont go we have digits temp readers and the lowest temp recorded has been 10c and in riversong indoor home its the same temp at night. Duing the day the house is between 10 -30c depending on the heating be on or not. Riversong home during the day is up to 30c when here light is on and the cooler end is 15c but she seems very active and i have realised the climbing behaviour is to get out lol and she seems perfectly happy. I did get an email from someone saying i should be hibernationg her but she is a rehomed torty and contacted previous owner who said they never hibernated her, is this dangerous not to hibernate? shes a hemann
