Too many eggs Posted: 05/06/2012 by Lesleys Torts |

Hi fellow tortoise keepers, I already have 10 healthy tortoises (Hermanns) 4 that I have bred myself. So far this year three of my girls have given me 12 eggs. As I really don't want anymore babies how hard is it to get a licence to sell the hatchlings once I am sure they are all okay? Any suggestions greatly received. Lesleys Torts

You first need to get the parents microchipped and get papers from DEFRA for them. If you already have papers then you have to go to the DEFRA website and download the application for papers for any babies. If you have any babies over 10cms then these have to be microchipped before DEFRA will give you papers for them. Hope this helps. Sue
