Hello, and I hope someone can help!
I have owned my muchloved tortoise Fred for 42 years. I have been told by both my vet (specialist tortoise vet) and highly exeperienced friend that he is a Mediterranean Spur thighed tortoise - but he is really small for such (13cm / 5" long). A colleague at work who also keeps tortoises says Fred might be a member of a sub-species, which is notably very small, but he couldn't remember the subspecies' name. I've looked online without any luck.
Thoughts, anyone?
