I'm a novice tortoise owner who purchased a 2 year old Spur Thighed back in May. She's doing very well with loads of character and is growing nicely but I'm a little worried about her diet. A friend of mine who has tortoises told me that cat urine is poisonous to tortoises so I musn't let her forage in the garden or cut flowers or weeds from my garden or from the wild as I have a cat. I haven't been able to find anything about this statement on the internet and would love to add some weeds etc to her diet. Its there any truth in this and if so how would be the best way to get around this? I don't think she's getting all the nutrients she needs as a growing little tortoise just from shop bought salads etc. Thanks!
