I brought home Colin yesterday. He's a Hermann, and 3 month's old.

I'm totally new to all this, but this forum has really helped me to prepare properly (I've got him under an Arcadia DS3 lamp and in a wide flat 'under the bed ' style tub).

So far, so good (I think), apart from him being slightly (!) fussy with food (he's not been interested in dandelions, so I've given him a couple of baths today and a tiny bit of cucumber - once he eats he will then be on a diet more centred on weeds). No one mentioned how stubborn they can be!

anyway, just thought I would say hello and say that any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Hi there and welcome to tortoise keeping. It's very early days yet, so I would not try to tempt him with anything as he will eat when he is ready and tempting him now, may set up bad habits for weeks ahead. Just make sure he is well hydrated by bathing him daily until he starts to eat properly.
