Thermometer help
Posted: 17/11/2012 by unhindered

I need to get a digital thermometer and I don't really know where to start, time is getting on a bit now and I need to get it asap so I can monitor the temp of the fridge before JD goes into it! If anyone has any advice I would be very grateful! Possibly one that has an alarm incase the temp drops or rises? what does everyone else use?

I use these http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/DigiTech_Digital_In-Out_Door_Thermometer.html?gclid=COi51Yrg1bMCFePHtAodVTkAjg

Very reliable, but you can get similar from your local Maplins etc

If you google IN/OUT THERMOMETER you will come up with lots of similar ones.

Hi there, I would use  3 thermometers as a means of checking fridge. I have found some thermometers "out " by a couple of degrees...which can be critical if giving elevated readings.

Regards, David nr York.

The first one is no good as it needs a wire with probe to be able to check inside and outside the box. The second one is fine but a heck of a price, possibly because it is John Lewis - you should be able to get one under £20.
