Hi im looking to adopt a tortoise that can mainly be kept outdoors but we have a green house, and im new to tortoises

You are probably looking for a Mediterranean tortoise. These are fine outdoors in a south facing garden, but you do still need access to a shed or similar with basking lamps for bad weather days. If giving access to the greenhouse, you need to have a way of the tortoise getting in and out without relying on you to open the door as temps can change drastically as you will know. If your greenhouse has electricity, then you can have lamps set on a thermostat to use in there.
