Hi everyone.

With temps rising and falling it is vital to check shed/garage and naturally hibernated tortoises. Check morning and late afternoon thoroughly. The last thing you need is an undetected wide awake tortoise trying to struggle out of "hibernaculum", wasting energy and weakening by the hour. To new keepers I suggest you click on The Tortoise on LHS green menu, read thoroughly and be ready. I also find it interesting and informative looking back over previous postings...so many are so similar and require same answers. Begin to build up a bank of expectations and what if's...BEFORE YOU HAVE AN ILL TORTOISE. This is the most exciting time for many of us, re-aquainting with our torts after so many weeks.
