My two year old spur thighed has just passed a large white ball. He obviously had trouble doing this. was left with friend whilst we were on holiday recently, worried he may have been fed incorrectly.

Hello, can you examine the 'ball', open it up and describe it, with as much detail as poss.

Hi it is like a stone can't break it open. Got tortoise in November and has been fine. Bathed twice a day didn't eat much until about march. She was eating well when we went away but a week after we got back she stopped eating and was just basking all the time. Then after starting to eat again this has happened. I feed mostly on rocket, lambs lettuce and dandelions.

Perhaps it is a stone which it has ingested at some point. Keep it for future reference. How old is it & where did you get it. (don't give the full name). Your diet is OK.

Hi, it is nearly three years old and I got it from a local breeder. She has lots of tortoises of all ages so I don't. Think there is a problem there.
