URGENT request for rehoming Posted: 27/10/2008 by TPGJo |

We have had an urgent request to re-home 3 tortoises from the Essex area. They are 1 male russian, approx 5 years old and 2 hermanns (T.h.b.), sex unknown as yet but we shall update this when definate ID has been given. All tortoises appear a bit on the chunky side and we are unsure of their previous husbandry, again we will update this when confirmed. We do know that all 3 tortoises were kept together for a while, but the russian pestered the hermanns and has since been kept apart. If you would like to offer these lovely tortoises a new home, please contact us at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Horsfield/Hermmans, Essex'. The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email. Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply. Photos are available, and we hope to have them on the website shortly. Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that Tortoise Protection Group.

It would now appear that the hermanns are male and female. Many thanks to those who have already applied to rehome them, should the sex of the tortoises affect your application, please let us know. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you are happy to have a male and female. Jo
