I'm currently thinking about adopting a horsefield from my local animal rehoming centre, I've check them out and everything is fine and all animals and tortoises there are all right, but before I adopt one I'm just wondering what size of enclosure would be needed? I am planning on building it with some assistance and the tortoise will have roam of the garden during the warmer months, what size of enclosure would you recommend? (Preferably smaller measurements as the enclosure is only for periods of time when it's to cold to go out:))

It's essential to know the age of the animal. Also what do you mean when you say you've "checked them out?"  

Will the re-homing centre make any type of charge?
