Hi I just got a 1 year old horsefield tortoise and I absolutely love having (him) I think it's a male lol, I have a 100W basking lamp plus a 24" UV tube the question is where should I position them, I know he must have a basking spot but what about the UV tube should I position is above his food tray so he can get the UV when eaten or should it be up the opposite end away from his tray? I have a pretty big enclosure for him and no it's not a viv, Also any tips for beginners would be helpful lol! It's great to be a part of the tort family! And I know what I can feed him and what I can't, But how much should he get fed as there is a lot of mixed opinions out there, and also I leave for work at about 7am so what should I do? Leave his lights on and give him some food and fresh water, Because he's new I am just worrying about everything the now lol! Anyways Thanks!
