Hello Sophie, If he is still living outside, he will cease feeding now that temperatures have dropped. Assuming he has a house, leave him out & he will be ready to hibe. at the end of the month. If he's under daytime heat, he will naturally continue feeding. Click on "The Tortoise……." box, to read what to do. Well done for hibernating. Regards, Tom

Hello tom Sorry my tortoise was in the garden on that day when I took the photo‚ lives in his house in my bedroom. I have a hibernating box for him to hibernate in but not sure what to put in it when he is ready to go in ? Sophie

A bedroom is not a suitable place to keep a 7yr old horsfields Sophie. Plan and build a good sized outside enclosure for next year. As for hibe., I stated where you can get the info., in my post above. Tom
