Wanting to re home. General question Posted: 15/03/2015 by Sam Murray |
|
I have just started completing the application form to try and rehome a tortoise. We are a family with a large garden 1/2 acre. All fully secure, car port with electric and a green house. We will be able to create an area just for the tortoise. However we do have a spaniel. Who will be kept away. However is this a problem. Will I automoatcally be turned down because I gave a dog. Or do owners of tortoise have dogs in their gardens ? Thanks for your help

If you submit the application - you will find out. With a garden of that size, it would be possible to fence off a tortoise area. Regards, Tom

Hugh The Leopard Tortoise. Sounds interesting. Where is its home? I'm guessing may not be hibernated as yet?

Hi, Leopard tortoises don't hibernate, she is still active and in her routine. We live in Scotland, but for the correct home for Storm I'm prepared to organise travel. Hugh
