I am looking to get a Hermann tortoise and I am after some much needed advise please. I am going for a large indoor rabbit cage for an enclosure, a 50/50 mix of top soil and play sand. Do I need to water this daily? I have a small bridge for exercise a flower pot for a hide and a water tray. Is is safe to include house plants in this? I have read that spider plants and African violets are safe does anyone know if this is correct? Lighting has confused me. Is it better to get a combined heat and UV bulb and use a dome lamp or a long UV tube and a basking spot any advise on this would be much appreciated. If I have missed anything please let me know.

A 100W Megaray uvb bulb with an 8" dome is best.
