hi
  thankyou for letting me join this forum, my horsefield tortoise "terrence" has been missing now for 5 months since last october 2015,hes approximately 9-10 years of age,he went missing from northfleet gravesend kent.hes shell is faded on the right hand side due to a run in with a fox a couple of years ago.

Hello,

Be vigilant as temperatures rise. It is likely that he has buried himself in order to safely hibernate.
This is common, especially near to their night shelter.
