Please could someone help me as my hatchling  Hermanns tortoise  had watery bubbles from his nose tonight after has bath and was cold and  has had watery eyes for the last week. Really worried that he is ill do i need to take him to the vets.

We have a tortoise table and it has topsoil/substrate in the table. He has plenty of rocks and a hide and a pot that he likes to go asleep in. the temps are the correct ones and he has the correct lighting according to your website.We have had the tortoise since 8th April and he was hatched last August. He seems to be ok this morning as he is alert and moving around and no runny nose and his eyes are clear.We will keep a close eye on him over the next couple of days and then if it comes back i think a visit to the vets to give him a check over.

Where did you get it ?

"The correct one" doesn't tell me the temp' or where you are taking it. Pls take it at the basking spot. And which lighting ?

"Runny eyes for a week" indicates a problem. Is it feeding well ?

Re the nose "bubbles" - how deep was the water you put it in ?

A trip to a vet will not help if the visible symptoms are no longer there.
