just acquired a 4yr old horsefield who has been living inside in a box/tank with spot light&uvb light seems happy they said he dosnt hibernate is that right

They should be hibernated. They should not be kept in 'tanks'.

You need to get a 100W Megaray UVB bulb & a 20cm reflector dome, to suspend above a tortoise table.

They should live outside in summer, but you need to read up on this.
