Last wind down bit
Posted: 29/11/2016 by MollyandFrank

Hello, we are hibernating Frank for the first time (10 year old horsefield) and we have been winding him down outside, but given the cold overnight temps recently we have been bringing him in overnight. I plan to put him into hibernation this weekend but daytime temps now too cold to keep him outside. In our house it does not drop below 10 degrees. What should I do?

Thanks

Hello,

Best in hibe. by the end of Oct. It will have an empty gut by now - so just put it straight into hibe' as being at 10C is not a good idea at this stage. I assume that you're using the fridge method.

Regards,
Tom
