Rehoming Freda the hermans
Posted: 15/01/2017 by Pablodance

Hi,

We have an 8 year old Hermans tortoise called Freda - Freda used to have the run of our house and garden and loved life until the birth of our son 18months ago.  Our son was unfortunately born with a bowel disease and has been in and out of hospital over the past 18 months, he has issues with his immune system as a result - so unfortunately Freda has lost the run of the house / garden and now has a small area outside hit vivarium and is unfortunately much neglected compared with the past.

A friend took her for a while but has since moved house so now she's back in her corner looking miserable so we have deuces it's time we found her something better.

To add to her woes she had enlarged ovaries in her last hibernation scan, the vet advised that she's comfortable now and he's happy she's well bit should bring her back if she gos off her food - she can have an op but it's around 1k - so out of our budget..  that was 12 months ago and she's now more lively than ever so she seems to be doing fine but still much neglected.

We are trying to find her a happy home and wonder if you could help or know anyone who may be able to - she's a lovely little thing and deserves more than she's got at the mo.

If you have any advice please Email paul.dance@me.com

Thanks
Paul
