Leopards - Cumbria
Posted: 17/01/2009 by tpgarlene

Hi

We have been asked to find a new home for 2 leopard tortoises located in Cumbria.  They are thought to be around 5 years old, and the current owners have had them for approx 2 years, but a change in circumstances means that very sadly, they have taken the decision to rehome the tortoises.  The tortoises are to be rehomed together as they are good friends, we are currently waiting for photos, and will hopefully have an idea of sex once we have seen them.

If you would like to offer these tortoises a new home, please contact us at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Leopards Cumbria'.  The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email.  Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply.  Photos will hopefully be on the website soon.

Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that
if you are successful in your application, you will consider a
donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any
donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a
lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have
rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however
occasionally this has occured, therefore as a non profitable group we
rely on your generosity to help our cause.

We are happy to announce that these two tortoises are settling nicely into their new home with one of our members.  Many thanks to all who offered to help.
