Hi, Can horsfields eat butterfly bush leaves and flowers? Thanks, Row

Mine have access to both but refuse to eat them although I do know the leaves are edible. My leopards do nibble at the leaves. I suspect the flowers are edible too, but I'm sure Nina will confirm. Helen

No problems with buddleia at all, but as Helen says, many torts aren't interested in it. I tried feeding the leaves and flowers to my horsfield last year and she wouldn't try the leaves but did take a bite of the flower (but only a bite).

Hi Row, Your doing well to have these in flower, where do you live? They are OK but like Helen and Nina I have offered these flowers and leaves but they wipe their feet on it and walk off. Lots of feeding if they do though. HTH Elaine

Hi Elaine, None in flower yet but so many bushes around with new leaves that I thought it would add some variation to plantain, dandies , daisy and clover! Row

I tried the buddleia leaves and flowers on my hermanns last summer and they wouldn't eat it. But I've heard some torts really like it.
