Ibera, Manchester Posted: 24/04/2009 by tpgarlene |

We have been asked to find a new home for an adult male Ibera located in Manchester. Tommy has been with his current family in excess of 30 years, and is much loved, but sadly due to a move to a change in circumstances, they feel it would be better to find a new home for him. He has hibernated each winter, and for the last 5 years has received an annual check up by a member of the BCG. We understand from his owner that he has never had any health problems. His exact age is unknown, he is approx 186mm long and weighs in at 1360g, hopefully, his photo will appear below, and a very striking tortoise he is too! Finding a good home is really important to his owners, and it may be possible for them to transport Tommy part way if distance is a problem. If you would like to offer this tortoise a new home, please contact the rehoming team at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Ibera, Manchester'. The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email. Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply. Arlene TPG

Hi Mike, Many thanks for offering, but to apply to rehome this tortoise you need to send an email to rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk and put Ibera/Manchester in the subject line. You then need to either tell us that you have already filled in an application form (and give us your full name), or fill in an application form and send it in to us (you can download one from this site by clicking on Rehoming in the left-hand column of this page and then on the link to the application form.
