I have been planning on getting a tortoise now for over a year and after researching all the recommended websites, books etc... I am now ready for my tortoise! 

I have purchased a indoor tortoise table with all the correct heat and UV lights, weed seeds and other edible plants which I have home grown, and I'm in the middle of building a secure outdoor tortoise table, but I cant find anyone near me to buy my little one from!

I was going to get one from the tortoiseshop.com but after reading advice on sites such as this one I am definately buying from a breeder now!

If there is anyone who is a breeder around Liverpool or anyone who knows of one I would be grateful if they could let me know!

That's really great that you have done all your research before you get your tortoise (so many don't and then end up with ill tortoises and big vet bills). Have you checked out our list of recommended breeders? If you click on Buying a Tortoise in the left hand column on this page, and then on the Breeders List, it is arranged by county. My knowledge of geography isn't very good, but we have two breeders in Cheshire (one in Chester) and that doesn't seem to far from you. Let us know if you have any problems - and do send us photos of your new torts when you get them!
