Hi We have been contacted by a lady in Kent who has lost her tortoise, and desparately wants him back safe and sound. We are not sure of sex or species, but he does have some fairly distinctive shell damage - here is part of her message:- I was hoping you would be able to advertise a lost tortoise for me? His name is Charlie and must be over 60 years old by now. He was dropped by his previous owner and therefore has pieces missing from the top of his shell but does have new shell slowly growing through. He was apparrantly picked up, after having escaped from my garden in Maidstone, Kent, by a male wearing a white shirt and dark trousers, driving a "white Postman Pat type of van" who stated that he knew somewhere local to take him. No vets or RSPCA's have been notified that he has been found. PLEASE keep an eye out for him. Please keep your eyes and ears open, and if you have any information, please contact us at contactus@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk and we will pass it straight on to his owner. Many thanks Arlene | |
