Please can someone tell me if it's safe to feed beet root leaves to tortoise's??

Hi,
Im not 100% sure on this one to be honest but i personally wouldnt feed too much as its not palletable. Have they got access to these leaves or are you just thinking of picking some and feeding them to your tortoise?
