hi there.
i just thought i would share theese pictures to you. theese were taken at Newport Nurseries on the isle of wight.

as you can see the tortoises are in awful conditions! their food and water is just discusting. :( poor things.
i hope something can be done about this.

This is still a problem - I witnessed inappropriately housed tortoises there just last week. I emailed RSPCA but was told the council had to report it, not me...
