We are looking for a home for Ali, a mature male N. African Spur-Thighed Tortoise (Testudo Graeca Graeca – TGG). Ali has lived together with Sam (also a TGG) and Nigel  (a Hermanns) – also listed – for a number of years. They are currently in Runcorn, Cheshire, though there is no preference as to what location they are rehomed to – so long as a good long-term home is found. Different species of tortoises should never be mixed as each carry pathogens to which the other may have little or no resistance. In the case of redfoots and N. African spurs these tortoises also each require very different environments and diets.

I HAVE OWNED A SPUR THIGHED TORTOISE FOR 9 YEARS, HE IS LOVELY BUT FEEL HE IS ALITTLE LONELY,  HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT SIZE  (AGED) COMPANIONS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS BUT NOT HAVE BEEN SUITABLE.  I FEEL THESE WOULD BE IDEA, ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN WORMED AND QUARANTINED.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THEY HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING HEAL PROBLEMS WHICH WOULD BE OF CONCERN TO MY EXISTING TORTOISE PLEASE.
