Hello there Whilst looking for suitable indoor housing I have come across a powersun combined uv/heatlamp (I know the name is probably explanatory) does that mean that I do not need a tube in the pen? just need to double check as I always have a bulb and tube in my vivarium, which I am replacing with a table top Kerry

Hi Kerry Yes, you are right, these bulbs give out both heat and uv, so you dont need to use a separate tube with them. They are very good, but do run quite hot, so please make sure that the bulb is properly secured, and that you have the correctly rated ceramic holder and a suitable shade. Any questions, please do get back to us All the best Arlene TPG

Hi again, Thanks for the link..I like the Mega Ray bulb, but am wondering which holder is suitable... Is the Zoo med shade the right item to go with the combined Mega ray bulb?

Hi, i think you posted a link to a holder and shade yesterday (I think that was the zoomed) this would be fine. Just type in ceramic lamp holders on the Kimbo site and it should bring them up Regarda Vivienne
