Hi, My tortoise Eric who is about 14 months old. Has just recently started to climb up the sides of his house, resulting in him to fall on his back leaving him unable to get back up, this has happened on several occasions now, and I’m quite concerned as if this was to happen when I’m out at work then he could be left like this for up to 8 hours, so I’m just wondering whether this could cause him any distress and whether there is a way of preventing it from happening.

Don't they just love to get themselves into trouble:-)

I would look to change the house for a design that is less likely to permit him to climb up and fall back.
