Testudo Hermanni Hermanni tortoises

Darren kindly asked if I had any photos of the Testudo Hermanni Hermanni tortoises and I've put some of snaps in a photobucket album which can be accessed here:

http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg265/Ozric_01/Testudo%20Hermanni%20Hermanni/

(Darren you can copy any that might be of any interest direct from the album as full size files just by clicking on the code.  I think to e mail them they might have to be reduced.  Let me know if I can help).

Delighted for anyone to have a look. I reckon the best way to view them is in slideshow mode on full screen.

This subspecies of Hermann is not very often kept in the UK.  The Hermanni Hermanni has brighter colours and tends to be a smaller tortoise than the Boetgerri. This tortoise is under grave threat in nature, although there remain significant populations on Corsica and Sardinia and scattered in Italy.  The Italian populations look quite different to the ones I have which are of the Corsican type.
