Hi Claire, Have you thought of trying plastic plants for indoors? I have some plastic spider plants and also ferns and my babies love them? Ali

I've not done well at keeping plants alive in the indoor enclosure. I think its the heat, the drought and the constantly being trampled by tortoise that does it. One idea I use now that works is to place a plant in its pot in the enclosure, removing it after a couple of weeks and placing it somewhere more suitable to recover. I place a different plant there to get a turn, and rotate them. This provides a bit of decoration and the plant doesn't get destroyed. I do it so the tortoise cannot reach the leaves as they might eat any plant when kept indoors and have little else to do.
