Hi Darren, I think the 100w bulb will be better for me and I'm sure others here would like it back too :)

I have concerns on the lamp itself..I had noticed a little while after getting the shade, I can see the red and blue wires, it appears that the black cable is coming away from the shade. Is it coming away from inside the shade unit?

Hi Claire I'm not sure what is happening with your lamp and the wires best to get it checked out though, you dont want a fire! Vivienne

Hi Claire, I've been told that the ReptileUV MegaRay lamps in the UK went up to 120W. They did this because of the flickering and cutting-out they were seeing with the 100W version (which is still on sale in the USA). It was something to do with UK voltage being 240V whereas everything else in Europe is 220 - 230V.

Hi, We had to move from the 100w to a 120w due to one of the componants being discontinued, we have had a matched product made and have been testing these recently. They are good and the 100w will be back in production within the next 8 weeks. Darren
