A work colleague of mine is selling a tortoise and after all the trouble of buying one I am tempted. I have seen photos of the Tort, seen the set up & asked loads of questions.

However, my colleague hasn't got an Article 10 Certificate (he has misplaced it), will this be an issue for me?

Hi Lou,

It depends what species the tortoise is. If it is listed under Annexe A it is illegal to sell a tortoise without an article 10.

Because Marginated  need them.

He would be able to gift /  rehomer to you but not sell.
