Hello there, From what I have been able to find, the toxicity of this plant in relation to tortoises is due to the oxalate content. Oxlatates inhibit the absortion of calcium but a a one off is unlikely to cause problems. Make sure the tortoise stays well hydrated, a daily bath in shallow warm water will help with this. If you do see anything of concern in your tortoises behaviour, contact a vet, just as a precaution but I don't think this one off will cause problems personally. Dave.. | |
