This is frankie is what i have been advised and using for the base really bad for him?

Hi, I cant quite make out what the substrate is, is it shredded paper, or something you have bought, does it have a name on the bag?

It like shavings they are quite large and also has some wood chip too Frankie seems to like it but then again it's what he's used too. I have read other posts and I see sand and soil is preferred so will change if its better and put more things in to keep him occupied
