My 50yr old Spur Thighed tortoise, Albert, escaped recently and was missing for 3 days before I found him in a drainage ditch covered in mud and exhausted! He has recovered somewhat but I am worried about his breathing which is now rather noisy. Could he have a respiratory infection??

Hi Jean, sounds like a respiratory infection, I would get him to a tortoise specialist vet asap.  We have a list of such vets under the heading 'vets and health issues' if you havent already got one.
